Apple Picking Adventures!

Apple picking was so much fun...Nate loved it, and as usual, thought he was on a mission to do everything. We went to the local farmer's market where they had a fall festival. It was a COLD day and the wind was whipping, but we were still able to enjoy it. We played in the hay field a bit and went down some slides and then went to play in the pumpkin patch! Probably Nate's favorite part of the morning...he is truly in awe of pumpkins and loves to touch and inspect them. He calls them 'pumps'! We ended our morning picking all different kinds of apples. Nate tried to eat them right off the tree but it was so cold and they were a little too hard for him. He did enjoy tearing them off the tree and putting them in the basket. Rich made our first treat from them tonight: homeade apple crisp!

Peaches are my favorite fruit!

As you can see, Nate loves peaches. Everytime we go to the farmer's market, he starts pointing at the peaches and jumping up and down-- it's so adorable. We call him our little fruitaholic-- if he could live on oranges, peaches, and bananas, I think he would!

I think it's in his blood! He loves the cats and dogs all so much. Every morning when we wake up, he gives Ben a big hug. Every chance he gets he wants to show them love and affection. I can't wait to get back into animal rescue and give him the opportunity to further develop this sixth sense. :-)
