Night-Night Time

Nate loves to read! He's now showing a lot more interest in turning the pages and listening to the story. He picks his own books out of his book basket each night before bed.

I love these jammies! I think toddler's jammies are the cutest. I love to get him out of the bath and dressed each night.

Tuesday Morning

All started out so well. The sun was shining and we were on-time! Just as we were about to head to school for the day, Nate decided that instead of walking out the front door, he wanted to climb the stairs. So, when mom said "no"...this is what happened....a full-fledged tantrum.

My best curled lip and hung head...

Ok, so that didn't work...I'm going all out with my drama acting on this one...

Happy as can be when he is on the stairs (yes, getting his way!)

No pics to post from apple and pumpkin picking because we didn't get to go. The rainy weather kept us away. We're hoping to get there next weekend!

Fall's just about here....

and so are the mums! We took a short trip on Friday over to the Farmer's Market and got some mums for the front porch. Nate thought it was his own personal flower to pick! The weather here is starting to change as the nights get cooler and the mornings much brisker. Next weekend we're headed for apple picking, pumpkin selection, and hay-rides to welcome Fall and all of the fun things that go along with it.

Nate had a tough week. The little guy had an immunization last week and he developed a fever (totally normal) as a result. It lasted a lengthy 4 days and we could tell he was uncomfortable. Thankfully- the fever finally broke today and we are back to normal. Thank goodness.

Tomorrow is housecleaning and family day. Oh, and of course, time for football watching. :-)

Hay Creek Festival

What a fun day we had! The Hay Creek Festival is a typical PA Dutch fair with lots of activities and good food. There were a ton of old tractors and Nate loved to watch them start up and move around. We got to watch apple cider being made and enjoy the animals at the petting zoo. Nathaniel LOVES animals...I think he was almost trying to ask me if he could take the cow and the goat home. He really enjoyed petting them and watching them eat. We also shopped through all the fair vendors and ate some traditional PA Dutch food. It was a beautiful day. Here is the recap in pics.

Oh, I almost forgot. Nate got another tooth! I see more coming too. He has also really adjusted well to his new classroom at school. He has started showing some toddler stranger anxiety but his teacher says he is fine after we leave. When I drop him off he squeezes my leg and says "momma, momma, momma, momma...."
But, when I pick him up, he's all smiles!

Long time no blog...

Ok, so I have been a terrible blogger recently. I have been traveling and blogging has been pushed to the side for the last 3 weeks. It has been a wonderful summer jam packed with lots of fun activities. Let's see...we went swimming a ton, went to Saratoga for our annual horse racing event, went to Vermont a few times and spent the 4th on the lake on NH, went camping on our first family camping trip, went on MANY wagon rides, and... got two more teeth and started walking (or running for that matter!). Tomorrow Nate starts in the toddler room. It should be an exciting day!

Sorry, no pics today-- but coming soon. :-)
