Rainy September Day

Last weekend we just hung out at home and basically did nothing since it rained a majority of the weekend. While there was a brief break in the rain, we snuck outside to get some fresh air and got a few pics.

Our little monkey is getting so big. He is still a peanut weight-wise, but he is sprouting in height pretty well. We're working on potty training...but probably not as hard as we should be. Definetely an area I need to get more focused on. Nate started swim lessons this weekend and loved them. I figured since they were indoor that this time of year was perfect to start. Ge is honestly almost swimming on his own. He does the doggy paddle perfectly and has a real love of the water.

He is still in the infamous 'terrible' 2 stage. I am finding myself saying no more often than I would like....and then he is telling other people "no"! a lot more than I'd like. But, he's learning. He has more energy than I think I've ever had and he is always on the go. I hope to get him involved in some sports next summer.

His vocabulary is growing but he is a little hard to understand if you're not used to listening to him. It's really cute though, and he is getting more words under his belt each day. He continues to love school, but of course doesn't want Mommy or Daddy to leave in the morning. By the afternoon time he doesn't want to go home. :) He's made some good friends at school especially cosidering he's now been at the same school for 18 months.

That's the latest!

Sesame Street Live

A few weekends ago we headed downtown and went to see Sesame Street Live! We had a blast. Nate spent the 2 hours dancing as fast as he could and eating cotton candy. It was very entertaining, even for the adults. The special effects were cool and all the good ole' Sesame Street characters were in attendance.

Here are some pics from the matinee show:

Today I asked Nathaniel, "how old are you?" and he said, without any question in his voice, " I five Mommy". . . cute!! He's already adding years...oh no! ;)

Mini golfing! More playing at the park

Last weekend Aunt Mary, Uncle Jeff, and cousins Ashley and Derek came to visit us. Our weekend was packed and filled with some firsts for Nate! First movie in the imax theatre (which he watched the entire movie without moving!) and first flume ride at the amusement park (loved it too!) He also was part of mini golfing though he decided it was nap time before we hit the course.

We had a great time catching up with family and Nate LOVES his cousins. I'm looking forward to getting back up north soon so we can spend a lot more quality time getting the cousins and family together.
